NORTHERN WARRIORS#Year: 1998

Covenant, now known as The Kovenant, was a Norwegian band which has evolved from a melodic symphonic black metal band to industrial metal/harsh industrial on more recent albums. The band was originally known as Covenant, but due to a dispute with the Swedish electro band that shared the same name (see Covenant), it was later changed to The Kovenant.

This is one of the important albums of Black Metal in the 1990's. I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I do. Really good album!!

Morbid Angel is a Florida-based death metal band assembled in 1983. They, along with Death, Possessed, Obituary and a handful of others were crucial in the development of the death metal genre and its standards. UK music magazine Terrorizer ranked two Morbid Angel albums in its ‘Top 40 Greatest Death Metal Albums’, with Altars of Madness appearing at #1. Decibel Magazine also rated guitarist Trey Azagthoth as the #1 “Death Metal Guitarist Ever”. Their songs are complex in arrangement, owing to the considerable technical skills of Trey and drummer Pete Sandoval who also played in the grindcore/death metal band Terrorizer.

Dark Funeral is a Black Metal Band from Sweden. Their music is describable in 5 words: loud, blasphemic and very fast. In contrast to some black metal Bands the melodies are very extensive and complex. Dark Funeral was formed by Ahriman and Blackmoon in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1993. The two were joined by Draugen (drums) and Themgoroth (vocals and bass) before the group began rehearsing and writing material.

This is the third album of Vampiria, which recaptures the dark symphonic metal gender. This time, with the return of Demian (guitar and epic voices) and the incorporation of Andrea (piano and keyboards). And the continuation of Konde (voices), Iván (bass) and Johann V. (drums). The compositions continue in the line of their previous "Among Mortals" (2000) and "Wicked Charm" (2002), but with the absence of feminine lyrical voices, and rotating toward black metal ambients and very symphonic passages. It contains 10 songs and a digipack exclusive presentation designed by Samuel Araya, highlighted by their works to Cradle of Filth. It was recorded, mixed and mastered entirely in "La Nave de Oseberg" studios, except the grand piano takes recorded in "Sound Rec" studios. The executive production, in charge of Carlos Zárate for Icarus Music Records.

Graveland is a Polish black metal band which was formed in 1992 by Rob Darken (born Robert Fudali). Darken, who started Graveland as a solo project, has been inspired by bands such as Bathory, Manilla Road, and In the Woods...[1]. Starting with Thousand Swords, the band took on a powerful folk influence, and more specifically from soundtracks such as the Conan the Barbarian movie soundtrack; as a result, Graveland's later works have sometimes been described as viking metal or pagan metal. The lyrics of Graveland are strongly inspired by nature, paganism and nationalism.
