Bloodbath - Nightmares Made Flesh

Critically acclaimed as a "superstar line-up" death metal outfit, the band is the brainchild of Mikael Åkerfeldt, along with the rest of the original members of Bloodbath, to bring back old school death metal. Mikael Åkerfeldt left Bloodbath about a year after the release of "Resurrection Through Carnage" because he wanted to focus on his more serious group Opeth, but he still performed with the band at Wacken 2005. He then returned to the band in 2008.

Diabolical Masquerade - The Phantom Lodge

Diabolical Masquerade is the avant-garde black metal solo project of Anders Nyström (aka Blakkheim), guitarist for Katatonia and Bloodbath. Nyström wanted to have a band where he could compose more extreme music while Katatonia were exploring more mellow themes and moods.
All of the music on the first two albums were written and performed by Nyström, with guest vocal appearances from longtime collaborator Dan Swanö. Swanö later became an integral part of the project, as co-writer and co-arranger, performer, engineer, mixer and producer on the 'Nightwork' and especially 'Death's Design' albums.

Nortt - Galgenfrist

Denmark's ubiquitous Nortt is a reclusive vocalist and multi-instrumentalist specializing in what critics have labeled "depressive black funeral doom,". Beginning his experiments in 1995, Nortt has recorded a number of demos (97's "Nattetale," 98's "Doeden," 99's "Graven") and official releases, most of them short-form singles and EPs like 2002's Hedengang and 2003's Gudsforladt. That same year saw a compilation of his scattered works unleashed as Mournful Monuments 1998-2002, but that's about as big a picture as we're likely to see of this intentionally obscure artist.

NORTHERN WARRIORS COMPILATION IV: DESERVING DEATH

Aqui esta la compilacion que incluye temas de la segunda parte de los discos subidos al blog en Enero de 2008. La intencion (mas bien, las intenciones) en esta compilacion eran dos y eran muy claras: hacer una compilacion de estilos variados y sobre todo que fuese una compilacion mas novedosa, es decir, no poner las canciones mas conocidas, explosivas y revientacuellos de todo el disco, sino canciones "menos conocidas" que demuestran que te has oido el disco en condiciones. A mi personalmente me encanta esta compilacion... quiza sea porque la he hecho yo, puede ser, pero lo novedoso de ella es lo que mas me gusta. Espero que la disfruteis tanto como yo ;)
